Lunar Nui Year Gatherings!

What i like most about the lunar new year is the chance to gather all your love ones and enjoy their company, their presence and catching up with them! Apart from my family members, I'm just so glad that i also got the chance to do so with my buddies! Great time fellowship-ing, great time watching show together, great time making fun of one another, great time playing mahjong! Wow, mahjong is indeed is a good way to fellowship and have lots of fun man! The one that invented the game is a genius! Wikipedia suggested that Confucius had developed the game in about 500 BC. Haha..

Just completed the spring cleaning for my house today at 1700hrs! Wow, doing spring cleaning is really no joke man! I even slip and fall while mopping the floor.

I rush over to my parents' place for reunion dinner after i'm done with the spring cleaning.. Then, rush to my in-laws' place for another reunion dinner.. I simply enjoy the presence and feeling of family gatherings!

Plan for 1st day of CNY: Visitation to Boon Lay, then Kallang, then finally to Tampines. Visitation from East to West to East!!!

Good friends gathering at my place on the 2nd day of CNY! Very long never see them liao! Really looking forward to it.. Des, Yuying, Weiming, Lea, Jeff.. Juming, Xiao Fang, Aven, Mei Mei, are you all coming too?????? Come lah, come lah. Haha..

Just came back from Utapao-Thailand last week. Suppose to be a 4 days trip, but something crop up there, extended the trip to a 2 weeks trip! Poor dar dar, got to shift back to her mummy's place. It a super stress (x 100) but good learning trip.

Back in Singapore on 16 Jan, but down with stomach flu.. Had flu, cough, diarr, flu and sore throat for the past few days. Currently in recovering stage!

Back to work on 21 Jan (my 1st day back to office officially in 2009), i got 600 over unread mails! What the.. Piles and piles and piles and piles of outstanding items calling out for me! Don't know where to and how to start man.

Packed Ang Pow for the 1st time in my life! (Still deciding whether should we start giving Ang Pow this year.. Since it is still the 1st year of our marriage. Some say need to give, some say no need. Hmmmm..)

Father-in-law came back in Singapore! Yeah! Miss his presence!

I'm car-less for the next few weeks (coz father-in-law is back).. Haha, i've topped up my ezlink card le! Need to get use to this, i hasn't been taking public transport for the past 10months.. I didn't even know that they are facing out the current ezlink card.. Haha, outdated!

CNY coming! Need to do spring cleaning!!! Spring cleaning is really tough man! But both dar and me will complete the task! Right dar? Hee..

Ok, that's all for now.. Need to go and sleep soon, as i'm car-less now, tomorrow i need to wake up much earlier to catch the bus! =)

Hokkaido Trip! - Update 1

We're back from Hokkaido!!! The trip was very fun and enjoyable! We see Snow for the 1st time in our life, enjoyed the super shiok Hotspring Bath in the winter weather, ate the super fresh and expensive Hokkaido Crab, lots of good Sashimi, lots of good meals, very nice rice, enjoyed the many majestic views of Japan and of coz, have a good time catching up with my baby! =)

I must say that Japan is really a very expensive place to live in. I can imagine, if i would need to live in Japan with my current income, i'll be eating grass every other day. Just to give you an idea on how high the standard of living is for Japan compared to Singapore! A "M" size french fries in Mac cost S$6, a normal box of cookies / cocolates easily cost S$16, a bowl of ramen cost about S$20, a taxi fare from Tokyo to Narita cost about S$450. Wow! I thank God for Singapore! Haha..

Long awaited honeymoon!

Hokkaido, here we come!! Finally, after slogging my life for every other people, it is finally time for my baby and i to have a real get away, a time for our "ownself"! To go for our long awaited real honeymoon! Kei has been real busy with the preparation of her new job, hardly see or fellowship with her this few days.. I'm sure this trip will be a great time catching up with each other.. Really am looking forward to this trip! Haha..

PS: I must say that this trip is kind of a over commitment, but i'm sure it is still a right choice. Why? Because Happy Wife = Happy Hubby = Right Choice! Haha.. =)

I'm having this on and off chest pain every now and then.. Every time is come, it'll only last for a few minutes. Hmmmm, after seeing so many people die in SAF for no good reasons, i cannot deny that i'm a little scare.. So i went to do a check up on Monday..

Oh, my people, my people, my people.. After the check up, the doctor say that my blood pressure is currently towards to high side (*gosh this is the 1st time i'm hearing this man, i'm just turning 25 soon only..) and has requested for me to go see him in a month time to monitor the situation. Not only that, he has also referred me a Cardiologist for a detailed check up.. Oh man, i cannot deny that my heart kind of skipped a few beats when i heard that..

To make things worst, i'm down with a fever, flu and cough since Tuesday! The feeling is really bad.. To make things even worst, i can't take MC and rest.. There are things cropping up in my workplace and it kind if directly involve me. Hence, need to go back office to settle the stuff.. Haha, to make things even even even worst, i'm suppose to organise a big event which is happening on my birthday! Some more, i'll need to come out with the $$$ to pay for the event 1st. What the....

It seems like i know why my blood pressure in currently towards to high side. Coz my blood is constantly boiling. This is really a sicky week for Kwang..

I know my baby is kind of "angry" with me. For not resting when i'm sick, for not taking caring of my body well enough, for going to work instead of resting and recovering at home.. I'm sorry baby! I'll take care of myself and recover real soon!

I'm on a recovering stage now. Manage to catch quite a bit of sleep today. Felt even better after ushering. =) I know no matter what kind of report that the world give me, i still serve a healing God! I'm so gonna confess divine health upon my life daily! I'll confess until that logo become a rhema to me! Keep me in your prayers if you can, please. =)

Arise & Build!

This has been one of the hardest season for the Arise & Build. During this season, it has reminded me a lot of my much younger times. Whenever the Arise & Build comes, i'll be very excited! Planning for an amount to give to the Building Fund, an amount that will please God, an amount that is sacrificing enough.. After pledging that amount, i'll very often bust out in tears. Coz it will means that that few months will be no savings for me, no shopping, no expensive fast food and etc...

However, life is kind of different after i've started a family on my own. This time rounds, it will not only mean that there will be no savings for me, no shopping or no expensive meals.. But there are stack of bills to settle, got reno loan to service, got studies fee to settle, got half a car to maintain and serve, car servicing is due, road tax is coming, car insurance is coming too, and the list just goes on and on.. It is kind of stress for me because this is not just about my life, as much as God has been a provider in my life, i want to be that same provider for my family too.

BUT GOD! BUT in all situation, i know i have God! I know i have a God that is above all my worries. I still serve and love the very same God i know 10years ago, i know and i know all things will work out good! Before i pledged my faith amount for this Arise & Build, i happen to see my SMARTER goal card.. in the goal card, there is one portion for me to list down my SMARTER goal in the area for Material, and this was what i wrote in the beginning of the year:

For Material:
List down your goals Specifically - Debt Free!
How would i Measure my success? - I'll be debt free even after my marriage!
Describe my Action plans - Work harder in workplace, and give even more to God!
Is my goal Realistic? - Yes!
What is my Time frame for these goal? - Now!
Expectation management. Under what circumstances will i consider adjustment? - The day when i stop trusting God..

I know and i trust the never changing God! I know i'll lead a life of more than enough! My God shall supply all my needs! Good measures, press down, shaken together, running over.. The amount i give will determine the amount i'll received! Amen! I'm really encourage and charge up in faith by the rhema i received in the beginning of the year. I've pledged an faith amount, and i believe that my God will see me through these seasons! =)

I was reading Zi Ying Jie's blog.. I'm really encouraged by what say Javier to Ps.CK.. The below conversation is taken from Zi Ying Jie's blog:

Ja: "Aiya, everyday one brain will die but every morning there will be NEW BRAINS. That's why I am very clever!! Sometimes I use only one brain but sometimes i need to use more..."

This is so so true! It reminded me that God has given me new wineskin, it is really up to me to put away the old wineskin and start facing and overcoming the new challenges! I shouldn't be worrying and limiting myself because of all the worries and problems! I know my God is in control! Praise God! =)

Just had a "big" gathering @ my house on last Sunday. For those of you who has been to my small little house, you won't be able to imagine that the little house can contain close to 20 people at one time. Got a group of people cooking Laksa at the kitchen, got youth playing guitar in the room, got kid running around, and many many more.. Hmmmm.. It seems like the whole house is in a stage of "Do-who-va-bo-who". It just like what the bible say, "In the begining..."

Things i did that night:
(1) learnt photography tips from Teacher Richard.
(2) watched dvd
(3) played monoploy (lost that game big time).
(4) witness a "god of gamble" who can "control" the cards he gave out.

Gathering ended @ about 0700hrs, slept @ 0900hrs.. Wow, it was a tiring one.. Think i'm kind of old already, body system can't really take it..

Next gathering after that was to celebrate my beloved Lady Boss (81)'s birthday @ Bali Lane. It was fun! A great time catching up with my buddies (RJ and Weng), we kind of sing like there is no tomorrow. Haha.. Enjoy hanging out and catching up with my brothers! We shall meet up soon k! Looking forward to our next gathering..

Today it's my Mum's Birthday! Both dar dar and me brought her out for a nice dinner. Great time catching up with her too! I miss my mummy! I love you mummy! Haha..

Tomorrow having a farewell gathering for Nah Nah! She is going to Japan on a work trip for 2 over months, we are so gonna miss her lor..

This is like a gathering week, gatherings after gatherings.. Haha.. =)

It's has been a long month for me.. With lots of papers to write and to clear my boss. Haha, but it has been a fruitful one(though i got a lot of suan-ing and "threatening" from him). This has been the most used phrase on me when i see him with my papers, "WAU LAU CALEB!" The moment the red pen is on his hand, that mean is time for me to do my corrections or should i say to re-write the paper. After all the "training" session i had with him, i've learnt that in order to write a paper that won't be questioned much bosses,
1st: the paper must be written in good English
2nd: set your Principle Considerations
3rd: provide options and cost comparison (to show that you have a thinking process before your proposal)
lastly: N.A (no last pointer till date, coz i'm still learning)

Had a very wonderful BMT gathering! Thanks for all who make it happened! It is great seeing all my "botak" friends with nice hair. It's a fun time of catching up.. I realised that my the market is real good out there, most of them are earning like nobody business. Haha, most of them earning more than i do (even though i started working much earlier than them). Looking forward to the next gathering!

Attended Steven's wedding.. Sweet wedding.. Congrats!! Nice food and wine too.. Haha.. During the wedding, i got a taste of being a photographer wannabee. All thanks to Teacher Richard, for his impartation and the Nikon D200!! (I'll get my SLR soon! Still saving up..)

Attended a workshop on Balance Score Card (BSC) recently. A prof from NUS teaching us to how to come out with a Vision, then a Strategic Direction, then the Strategic Objective, then setting (Key Performance Indexes (K.P.Is) to achieve those mentioned. Hmmmm, i finally understand why my units has set so many K.P.Is for us to achieve every single year. It's a relevation to me man.

Had a very nice dinner cooked by my dar dar! Dar dar even washed the dishes after meal.. She is so sweet! Thank you baby! Love you many many! MuackS!

Life of a "factory worker"

Hasn't got a chance to blog lately because my work schdeule has kind of changed for this 2 weeks. Due to a big event that is happening, my manning for this 2 weeks starts from 1700hrs to 0700hrs daily. Really felt like a factory worker when i broad the ferry services everyday. The feeling s*** big time man. Seeing everybody coming in to start their work, mine just ended. I'm currently be living in a different time zone from you guys for this period of time..

Due to this changes, my baby has shifted back to her place. It is really kinda sacrely and lonely for her to stay alone at night. So, we've tasked Bean Bean and Meow Meow to keep her companied at night. How i wish i can end this soon, so that i can lead back a normal life. Haha.. I'm missing my dar dar!

11 more days to my brother's big day!!! This is so exciting.. As the date draws nearer, i can't help but to be reminded of my preparation days for my wedding.. I recalled, during the last 2 weeks before my wedding day, both my baby and i got into a stage where by we got so many things to do, so many things to settle, so many things to be stressed about, so many things "law is law, must follow" to overcome.. Many people say that we'll miss this stage of preparation when our wedding is over (@ that point of time, i was thinking, never man! never i will want to go through the stage again...)

But true enough, immediately after our big day, the moment we return the beautiful gowns and suits to Julia's Wedding News, the missing feel comes. How we wished we can go through the wedding preparation and the wedding day all over again.. Haha.. =)

It's everything ok? It's everything still manageable? It's everything still in control? I seriously not sure... These past few weeks, there are a lot of things that is happening in my workplace, things just all happen at one go.. I like the challenge and the fulfillment. I'm glad i'm still able to hold the fort at my workplace.. BUT, apart from that...

For the past weeks, work has been so overwhelming that i seems to lost myself.. I hardly have time for my beloved newly wedded wife, it's been ages since i visited my mum.. Not to mention time for my friends, my people, i don't even know who i'm suppose to be now.. Can i really do what i really want to do? Can i really do all things? Can i really overcome all things? Can i really be who i want to be? I felt so lonely in this journey..

I find it so hard to blog anything, esp with this blogskin.. My blogsskin says "Jesus, take the wheel", "I'm letting go" can it really be like that? Will things really worked out well and fine? I'm quite sure it will..

Singtel's MIO (update 1)

The MIO system in my house seem to be improving... From a intermittent connection problem with both the Internet and Fixed Line like about 20 times in 30 minutes, it reduced to about 8 times in 30 minutes... But still not very stable yet... Will be calling Singtel to ask for an update for the main switch work that the technical is suppose to do yest, that should "solve" all my intermittent connection issue... Let's see how things will go for the next few days, I'll cont monitoring the status...

To Singtel, please fix and solve my problem real soon! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!

Anniversary Present

Yeah!!! My baby brought me a present that i aim and see very long already... But just can't bear to spend the $$$ to buy... A Piano Black PlayStation Portable (PSP) Slim (with a 8G memory card)! Praise the Lord and Thank You so much baby! I promise, you won't be neglected because of this new toy of mine! Haha... =)

Singtel's MIO System..

Finally! Finally! Caleb finally have an internet connection at home! Believe it anot, i don't have an internet connection in parents' place at all... (for the past 20plus years) Haha... But things don't seems alright for the past 1 week.. I've signed up the all powerful MIO's plan for my new house.. However, for the past 1 week, i've been facing intermittent connection problem (very often), to both my Internet and my home Fixed Line... Now my handphone is much more stable than my housephone. This is so irritating and unbelievable...

Called the "dedicated" MIO hotline to feedback about my problem with the very often intermittent problem, they gave a solution over the phone, i monitored for 1 day and that solution didn't solve the problem.. Got a technical to my house, after 3 hours of "checking" the status, the conclusion he gave was that it might the fixed line connection problem, and he need another day to fix it... Hmmm...

I thought getting the MIO Services (from the Singapore Trusted Brand) will prevent me from getting any hassle and getting excellent services... But things don't look good even when i'm trying to blog now... I seriously hope things really turn up fine... Let's see if things will get better...

PS: My trustworthy Singtel, please don't disappoint me...
